My Retro Closet
Case Study – Garment Photoshoot
Back in August 2016 we were honoured to have the new “Jayne” collection from My Retro Closet in our studios to photograph for her new website, Abi the owner and designer behind My Retro Closet said…
“I’ve been planning a shoot for my new ‘Jayne’ nightwear collection for quite some time and when I saw that Instagram sensation Miss Rachel Frances was heading over to The Pinup Academy studio, I had to have her model my range!”
Abi was brilliant at detailing her brief, she wasn’t able to attend the photoshoot however, she sent a well laid out email showing examples of her garments she’d photographed on manikins to demonstrate the fitting and how she wanted them displayed.
This made our job much easier… as you can see it was easy for us to see what angles the client wanted to show and how she wanted the garments worn. This level of detail is not required on garment product shoots however, if you’re looking for a specific look then this demonstrates it perfectly!
Rachel Frances was our model and as always she was amazing, envisioning the clients brief she really helped bring the garments to life.
After the shoot Abi was sent the contact sheets containing the proofs from the shoot and was delighted, she chose the above images which were edited and delivered to her in both high resolution (print ready) and low resolution (web ready) formats.
Abi was delighted with the outcome of her product shoot and has since sent us more garments to photograph, see what she had to say by reading her blog “BTS with The Pinup Academy!” you can find it at myretrocloset.com
